| Thank you to everyone who sponsors a SSNAP Dobe or donates to the SSNAP
Fund. Your contributions make it possible for these senior and special needs Dobes
to live in a wonderful, caring environment. And, once in awhile, miracles do
happen, and these older, graying, lumpy or less-than-perfect Dobes find that
special home!
Tinka, the fawn Dobe pup with the curved spine, was adopted at the DRU Reunion Picnic by a long-time DRU volunteer and now lives in Rhode Island. Chelsea lives with her adoptive parents in Marblehead, MA, with Dobies Gypsy and Jake. Bo is living like a king at the elegant Wright Mansion Inn in Keene, NH. His adoptive parents are no strangers to the joys - and heartaches - of adopting older, special needs Dobes. They gave a home to DRU seniors Chessie and Grandpa. Now Bo romps around the manicured acres with younger Dobe Annie and an albino Great Dane! Princess lives on the Cape with her owner who claims it was "love at first sight." |

Champ, the big, hunky boy whose owners left him at a dog pound after they moved into a new house, died of a broken heart in June. A very special
memorial has been presented to DRU from one of his sponsors - a stained glass
butterfly, which reminds us that passing is only a change to something more
beautiful. This memorial has been placed in the garden at the shelter.
Champ, we miss you!
